Basically, once Eleanor officially joins, battle theme 1 can be bought, and once you leave Hexen Isle, battle theme 2 can be bought. Velvet can get costumes that change the battle theme to earlier ones once the main game changes it. I think it's progressing their personal quests, but I'm not positive. Rokurou and Magilou each gain costumes that change the battle music to their personal theme, but I forgot what unlocks them. Also, Eleanor's exorcist outfit changes the battle theme to the one that played during her duel with Velvet. The winter coat costumes are also obtained through Tales Coins, but you can't buy them until after you return to Hellawes once you've finished your business in Meirchio (i.e after they would've been useful to have in-universe, because you no longer have any story reason to go back to Northgand except to do sidequests). Velvet, Rokurou, and Laphicet's costumes are easy enough, but good luck with getting Eizen, Magilou, and Eleanor's.Įleanor's exorcist outfit is obtained through Tales Coins after a certain point in the story (I don't remember what unlocks it). Rokurou - sleep in the inn in Hellawes and view the skit where Velvet watches Rokurou train (this is very early in the game iirc) Velvet - raise her cooking level to 10 and view the skit related to that achievement
